Matthew22 Darts Tournament – Updated

The inaugural Matthew22 Fund darts competition took place on Saturday at Bower’s Hall, Allerton Bywater, with 18 teams competing for the Ali Russell Memorial Trophy. We would like to thank all of those who came and made the event such a success.

Congratulations to the following teams:

3rd – The Bullseye Bandits & Darts Breakers

A special mention needs to go to the youngest player, Alfie, the player of the tournament, who was outstanding, even when it was well past his bedtime!!

Thank you to everyone who helped pull the event together including, Clarissa for selling raffle tickets, the Matthew22 Trustees (Neil, Norm, Graham, Amanda, Ben, Daniel, Jonathan and Carolyn) for helping set up, run the event and pack up, DJ Norm for spinning the discs and baker Amanda for her delicious cakes. Also, thank you to everyone for donating raffle prizes.

A special thank you to the Trustees of Bower’s Hall who worked so hard last week to ensure the venue was ready and who ran the bar on Saturday, staying late into the night. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Finally, a massive thank you to Gary, for organising such a fantastic and successful tournament!

Donations will be made to Bower’s Hall, Derby Community Health Services (whose nurses helped care for Ali Russell) and The Matthew22 Fund.

We’re sure that Matthew and Ali were watching down on the event, saying how it should have been run!!
