Matthew22 Football Tournament – Updated

The inaugural Matthew22 5 a side football tournament took place on Saturday 20 June 2026.

Six teams took part in the tournament, with Harehills WMC emerging victorious (5-4) in a highly competitive final!

The overall results were:

1^st Harehills WMC

2^nd Leodis FC

3^rd Gracie’s Allstars

4^th Leamo’s Legends

Honourable mentions to Matthew22 FC and Leodis FC 2^nd teams who also took part.

Thank you to those who refereed matches, those who donated and purchased raffle tickets, Gary, Dan and Amie for helping out on the day and of course to Ben for organising such a successful and enjoyable event.

Location: Back of the Net, Unit 1, Flanshaw Lane, Wakefield, WF2 9LP

Price: £90 per team

Event Details:

• 5-a-side + 1 rolling sub (6 players per team)
• Swiss league format
• 12 competing teams
• Each team will play 4 league phase matches (12 minute matches, no half time)
• The top 4 will enter a semi-final and final match (15 minute matches, no half time)
