Following Jonathan and Paddy’s incredible walk along the length of the Leeds to Liverpool canal, the Matthew22 Fund shared half of the funds raised with The UK Sepsis Trust.
Sadly, Paddy lost his aunt, Sarah Hanley, a nurse, devoted mum to Orla and much loved family member to sepsis last year.
Paddy says: “It was only after Sarah’s passing we found [UKST] and the support it offers during and post-treatment. The main reason for supporting the charity was to spread more awareness for families in similar situations and to reduce the number of sepsis-related preventable deaths.”
The Matthew22 Fund are so proud of these young men for undertaking such a tough challenge for two causes so close to their hearts.
