Connor Lockett’s 5K a Day Runs
Connor, a close friend of Matthew’s has been running 5K a day in honour of Matthew Hollingworth and in aid of the Bone Cancer Research Trust and the Matthew22 Fund.
Over the past 3 years Connor, a close friend of Matthew’s and the Hollingworth family, has given up his time and effort to do a 5K a day run in honour of Matthew Hollingworth, in aid of the Bone Cancer Research Trust and the Matthew22 Fund.
Connor was joined some days on his runs by friends and family, spurring him on to succeed.
Connor said – “Running to raise money in Matthew’s name was a honour. Since I first found out about Matthew’s diagnosis, I wanted to do anything I could to help, knowing full well that if it was the other way around he would have done exactly the same for me or anybody he cared for. During the first 2 years of my running, having Matthew spur me on, always made me push myself more and not quit, even when my body was telling me to do so”.
His great effort has help raise over £2000 for bone cancer research.
