Rich Halford’s Walk To Work

On Sunday 4th May one of our valued trustees, Richard Halford will be taking on a personal challenge and will be walking to work, from his home in Halifax to Rochdale, around 21 miles for The Matthew22 Fund. Rich will be joined by his son Jack Halford for this challenge. This is what Rich had to say:

” “That sounds easy” I hear you cry, which is certainly what I’d be saying too. But then you have to look into the details. For example, you need to take into account that I’m nearly 63, totally unfit, overweight and probably and more importantly, I work at BCH which is in Whitworth, Rochdale, but live in Halifax. You keen Geography buffs will probably be able to work out that it’s actually 21 miles away and there’s a small matter of some little bumps in the road along the way called the PENNINES. So perhaps it’s not as easy a challenge as it sounds.”
